Fraunhofer MEVIS at ISMRM 2019

Fraunhofer MEVIS is well represented at the 27th Annual Meeting & Exhibition of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) held in Montréal from May 11 to 16.

MEVIS researchers are presenting current R&D results in MR imaging in a Hands-on Educational Session (Sunday), in an Oral Presentation and an Electronic Power Pitch Presentation (Wednesday), as well as in four Digital Poster Presentations (Monday and Thursday). The topics covered range from platform-independent MR sequence development to arterial spin labeling (ASL) and cardiac real-time MRI.

On May 13, the ISMRM designated Fraunhofer MEVIS director Ron Kikinis, M.D. “Fellow of the Society” for his significant contributions to the Society. He is honored for his contributions in the fields of MR image-guided interventions and medical image computing with open-source software for image visualization, analysis, and surgical navigation.

The ISMRM is an international, nonprofit, scientific association whose purpose is to promote communication, research, development, and applications in the field of magnetic resonance in medicine and biology and other related topics and to develop and provide channels and facilities for continuing education in the field.  Its multidisciplinary membership of over 6,000 consists of clinicians, physicists, engineers, biochemists, and technologists.
