Mathematics: Field of the Future

The technical improvement in our daily life is not possible without mathematics. However many people do not know that mathematics plays a major role. The need for mathematicians is larger than ever – not only for the mathematical knowledge but often also for of their excellent analytical skills.

Our aim is to provide interested pupils insight into the broad, manifold, and promising professional field of a mathematician. Mathematics is more than arithmetic!

We will continue the series “Zukunftsfeld Mathematik – Mathematics: Field of the Future” with three talks from Quantencomputing, research on perception of music, and mathematical support in steel production.

Beside three presentations with moderated discussion there is the possibility to talk to the speakers and further researchers and experts in small groups.
