Digital medicine describes the interdisciplinary field between medicine and computer science, mathematics and physics. This includes for example, the further processing of clinical image data with the help of algorithms or the development of software programs for diagnosis, planning and improved implementation of medical therapies. Further on, the exchange of medical patient data, the analysis of data with AI methods, and modelling of decision support systems play an important role.

This course is an introduction to typical medical problems of digital medicine. During the three course days, you will get an insight with talks by experts, small programming projects in Python, and a visit at an MR scanner. Finally, we will open up perspectives for possible working areas and careers for women in digital medicine.
