CURIOUS 2024

United by Science for a better Tomorrow

Science & technology steadily advance, but key unsolved challenges remain. The Curious – Future Insight™ Conference brings together some of the world’s brightest scientists and most accomplished innovators to present their work and explore the future of science and technology to solve today's challenges for a better tomorrow.

This year Fraunhofer MEVIS contributes the following topic:

Organization of the

Workshop

“Potentials of AI to transform precision medicine”

We will jointly explore how AI solutions in healthcare can be transferred from research into clinical application. We have selected one use case that powerfully demonstrates the potential of AI to improve diagnostics and that is of great importance to oncology and the pharmaceutical industry: tissue analytics and AI-enabled digital pathology informed by Peta-scale datasets.

- Where are we currently regarding usage of AI in diagnostics?
- What obstacles must be overcome?
- How can we tackle the huge range and resulting complexity of clinical applications?
- What will remain after the AI hype, and will this transform pathology and diagnostics?
- How can the value for oncologists be maximized?
- Are we about to reinvent cancer care?

Starting from these questions and from the impulses provided by leading experts, we cordially invite you to learn and discuss with the panel and all workshop participants.
