DMEA 2024
Connecting Digital Health
AI-powered data processing for intelligent clinical solutions
DMEA, Europe's leading event for digital health, will bring together experts from the industry in Berlin from April 9 to 11, 2024.
The trade fair offers a wide range of events, including exhibitions by companies from the healthcare IT sector, presentations and discussions on current topics and trends in the healthcare sector, as well as a variety of networking opportunities. In addition to topics such as telemedicine, digital patient care, data protection and cyber security, DMEA 2024 will also focus on the integration of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning into medical practice.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Medicine MEVIS exhibits four applications based on the use of AI.
- The intelligent Data Steward Tool enables medical researchers to curate heterogeneous clinical data for multi-center studies and annotate it with unique semantics. The web application supports standard formats and connects various ontology services for automated pre-mapping via a REST API, as well as the OpenSearch database and the SATORI platform.
- The SATORI Training Loop is a browser-based software solution that empowers medical experts to efficiently train AI models through step-by-step annotation. This automates the following segmentation and uncertainties in the segmentation can be estimated.
- For clinical use, Fraunhofer MEVIS is presenting the MINIMAKI application for heart valve diseases. It enables interdisciplinary and multi-site medical teams to plan complex surgical procedures and analyze the simulated outcomes.
- The MammoJourney app, which will be demonstrated as a prototype, supports breast cancer patients in all phases of their disease. The app provides comprehensible information, helps to organize the treatment process, allows digital document storage and offers a medical AI chat.
