Over the next few weeks, four senior researchers from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Türkiye, will visit Fraunhofer MEVIS. Together with the MR-team they will work on a wide range of topics from MR-monitored High-Intensity Focussed Ultrasound (HIFU) and Electroencephalogram (EEG) to MR-sequence programming using gammaSTAR, the in-house development framework for MRI pulse sequences.
Prof. Mehmed Ozkan will stay for about a month for joint development of a HIFU applications and gammaSTAR testing for his teaching and research at Boğaziçi University. For about two weeks Prof. Esin Ozturk, Ass. Prof. Pinar Ozbay and Prof. Ahmet Ademoglu will be our guests to foster collaboration with a focus on advanced MR methods, e.g. Arterial Spin Labelling as an innovative biomarker for Multiple Sclerosis and future research directions in the field.
Later this week, Fraunhofer MEVIS also welcomes over 20 international students for our two-and-a-half days TACTIX Summer School on MR basics and sequence programming.
TACTIX - Twinning Approach for Computational MRI Technology and Innovation Excellence in Türkiye is a EU-funded project (grant no 101159624) that aims to enhance the scientific excellence and innovation at Boğaziçi University in the field of computational magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
