Künstlerin Zeynep Abes präsentiert im Austausch mit der Expertin für Qualitätssicherung Sabrina Tölken und der KI-Forscherin Farina Kock unterschiedliche Kunstwerke. Die Arbeiten spannen einen Bogen von der KI-gesteuerten Chirurgie, über auf biometrische Daten reagierende VR-Erfahrungen bis hin zu "Smart Bodies & Homes”.

Der Professor für Mathematik Tobias Preusser und die Künstlerin Zeynep Abes zeigen Behandlungsformen von Krebs und anderen schweren Erkrankungen von der Vergangenheit bis in unsere Gegenwart und die jeweiligen Entsprechungen in Sci-Fi-Filmen. Das offene Gespräch mit dem Publikum entlang der eingebrachten Fragen steht während des gesamten Abends im Vordergrund. Wir freuen uns auf Sie! The Tides Within Us is part of the launch programme for The Reel Store, the UK’s first permanent immersive digital art gallery, which opens in Coventry from Friday 13 May 2022, becoming a permanent new visitor attraction in the heart of the city. To create this project, Marshmallow Laser Feast (MLF)—one of the world’s leading immersive art collectives—partnered with Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Medicine MEVIS.

The technical progress that determines our daily life is not possible without mathematics. Therefore we will give interested pupils insights into the wide, manifold, and promising professional field of mathematicians. We will continue the series “Zukunftsfeld Mathematik – Mathematics: Field of the Future” with three talks from Quantencomputing, research on perception of music, and mathematical support in steel production.

In the context of this year’s Informatica Feminale we will give insights into the daily work of a computer scientist in digital medicine. We offer a 5-day workshop to look at different aspects of digital medicine and to allow the participants to get insights into various working fields.

Hands-on workshop on medical imaging, including an introduction on the artwork ’The Tides Within Us’ by artist Barnaby Steel from Marshmallow Laser Feast (MLF). ’The Tides Within Us’ is a series of stunning interactive screens that allow the audience to explore the human ecosystem. To create the artwork MLF partnered with the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Medicine MEVIS.
