1st Place in Histology Registration Challenge

The Fraunhofer MEVIS team represented by Johannes Lotz, Nick Weiss and Stefan Heldmann was ranked as the final #1 in the Automatic Non-rigid Histological Image Registration (ANHIR) challenge at the IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) taking place in Venice, Italy on April 8-11.

The finalists were close together in terms of landmark error but in the final metric the Fraunhofer MEVIS method was the most accurate. In addition, the registration is also ten and fifty times faster than the two runner-ups, respectively.
