As part of its activities to promote young talent, Fraunhofer MEVIS once again offered a course at this year's Informatica Feminale for female practitioners from all disciplines with an interest in medicine, computer science, and mathematics.
In the fully booked course from August 26 to 29, Fraunhofer MEVIS scientists provided interested participants with insights into various areas of digital medicine in practical learning units and demos.
In addition to the basics of medical imaging, image processing, and epidemiology, the fully booked course also covered current research topics such as the use of machine learning in medicine and navigation support in operating theaters.
The 14-hour course offered plenty of time for questions and discussion. By completing an additional task, participants have the opportunity to earn one credit point (ECTS) for their studies.
