On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the 17th meeting of the Fraunhofer MEVIS Advisory Board took place in Bremen under the chairmanship of Prof. Hans Maier.

The presentation on the current situation and future prospects of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft was given by Kerstin Brandt, Director of the Human Resources Management Department. In his subsequent report on Fraunhofer MEVIS, Institute Director Prof. Horst K. Hahn discussed the structural and financial development of the institute.

Inspired by focus contributions from MEVIS scientists on the topics of “Intelligent interventions” and “The future of agentic AI in healthcare,” a lively and fruitful discussion ensued. The members of the Advisory Board made valuable recommendations, welcomed the development of the institute and expressed their appreciation and thanks to the employees of Fraunhofer MEVIS.

After three and six years of membership respectively, Prof. Iris Pigeot, Director of the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology - BIPS in Bremen, and Stefan Widensohler, Managing Partner of KRAUTH Invest GmbH & Co. KG in Hamburg, left the Advisory Board. The management of Fraunhofer MEVIS and the Executive Board of the Fraunhofer thanked them warmly for their great commitment.
